Diane - have you finished yet? Or did the dinner date get in the way...perhaps a photo of Mr Darcy will satisfy !?

Judith - thanks for sharing - a woman of many many talents.

Well Kylee that was really interesting and you inspired me to put something up for my own space.

As you know by now, I am into a serious reorganization of books and fabric so the pictures I've posted are older ones, but you get the idea.

So fun to see where other artists work!

Gorgeous colours - especially the pale blue. Good luck with your Mokume Gane technique....whooosh! That was the sound of that sentence flying straight over my head!

beautiful light colours. I love Blue! ...except for the blue feeling most of us are left with these days....too soft premo! I wish the manufacturer would listen to those concerns. I, like many others, feel it is wasteful to use perfectly good paper in order to leach premo of some of the plasticizer. Too soft clay sticks to pasta machine rollers on small settings and rollers need to be cleaned inbetween those smaller settings. The Freezer is a good idea for caning and mokume though.

What a shame! Your stand looks fantastic and you have obviously put a great deal of work into it. Still, now it's over you can concentrate on other things - upwards and onwards and all that!

PS I'd have awarded your work first prize....

Oh thanks Judith for your wonderful comments and support. I was really disappointed with the entire event. Having said that there were a few stunning artists there that I felt were not profiled high enough. One guy was making jewellery from whittled wood - it was sheer beauty!

Oh Kylee I am disappointed for you, I've been waiting with anticipation to see how it went and what your finished item looked like.

Your work in polymer clay is very, very different than conventional polymer jewellery so maybe it's just as well you didn't submit it if you think the judging was suspect.

I feel you should submit pictures of your work to a magazine like Bead & Button in the States. I never see anything like your work, and I bet others would appreciate the inspiration and the chance to see an artist who thinks for herself in design.

The table looks great!

That sounds like a great compromise. I'm looking forward to seeing the results.

It's weird how the perfect solutions come in the middle of the night - the trick then is remembering them next morning :-)
