Plants, piments, poo & polymer clay!

What a weekend - I spent two days exhibiting my polymer clay creations at the stunning Abbey of Fontfroide - it was hosting it’s 5th Festival of Plants.

The weekend was a great success in terms of visitors, weather and polymer clay sales. It was really strange however to notice that Saturday’s visitors bought mainly polymer clay objects (salad servers / bottle stoppers etc.,) and Sunday’s crowd focused on my polymer clay jewellery. Two designs were so hot off the press that I never even managed to photo them before they were sold.

We bought some Piments plants - Bresse and a Hungarian one (can’t remember the name….) and of course some Basil for my homemade tomato sauce. The quality of the plants were excellent. And this leads me on to the fertiliser which was free.

So today, I spent part of the afternoon, bagging 30 litre bags of horse manure - great! So romantic as you can imagine! At least we’ll have the best veggie patch in Luc-sur-Orbieu!

I love horse poo. Love the smell, and would be quite happy to sit in a bath full of it, except I don’t want to grow any more. :-)

Mmm yes - I think I’ll pass on that one although I love riding!
